NEW ROUTE FOE WHANGAREI BRANCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. Explorations by Public Worlc3 Depart ment surveyors have Tesnlted in the discovery of a. better route than that originally planned for the railway between Whangarei and the north Auckland Main Trunk. Objection Trae taken to the Taurarua Valley rente because of its circuitous nature, and attempts were made to find another route through the Waiotera. The resalt of these activities hae been the discovery of a much better, route, lying practically between ihe two meni tinned.
