MEETINGS.
AUCKLAND HEADMASTERS' ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of the Headmasters' Association was held last night in the Educational Institute Club .Rooms, at 730 v i m ; Mr , T ' °' Welß . M *- was in the chair, and a good number' of members were, present. Before proceeding with business, tnc Association expressed Its regret at the loss by death of a highly-esteemed member, the late Mr R. J. Parry of Point Chevalier school. It was decided to send a letter of condolence to Mrs Parry. The following gentlemen were unanimously elected members of -the -Association:—Messrs F. H. Brown, H. K. Burns, S. H. Macky, and N, Bowden. Officers for the coming year were nominated as follows:—President Mr. T. ,U. Wells, .M.A.; vice-president, Mr D.' C. Brown; hon. secretary and.\ treasurer? Mr H..K. Burns; auditor,.:Mr.D. D. 1 Metge. The- following resolution was passed' Unanimously, and a deputation was' appointed to present same'to the chairman of the Education Board:—"That this Association again places on record its deep appreciation'of the.able services rendered to the cause of education in the Auckland schools by Mr Harry Wallace, art instructor. Teachers who have had the pleasure of working with-Mr Wallace are unanimous : In bearing testimony to-the-great value of his services and to bis unfailing tact and courtesy .towards teachers and scholars. This Association, fnrther, strongly urges upon the Board the desirability of retaining, under the Inspectorate, Mr Wallace's services as art instructor in our public schools." ONEHUNGA POULTRY ASSOCIATION. A meeting was held in the Borough Conn-, cil Chambers, Onehunga, last night. Mr. .T. Rowe (Mayor) presided. On .the motion of Mr. J. Simpson, it was agreed to form an Onehunga Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary' Association. The' following 'officers' and committee'were elected:—Patron, Mr. F W. Lang, M.P.; president. Mr. John Rowe (Mayor of Onehunga); vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Nelleon, J. Simpson,. J. E. Co well. T. H. Horn,, and W.-,-Watts; secretary, Mr.' M. H. Jansen; committee,--Messrs. P. R. Syers, A. J. Hlpwell, S. Barman; _ Wood (canary), W. H. Scott, A. E. Stonex, W. Tapp, Jun., F. A. Sklmier (poultry), .Ci: R. Stewart, E. J. Hlpweil, Master C.
