DEFENCE AND PEOPLE. LONDON, March 7. Mr. W. A. Holman, N.S.W. AttorneyGeneral, in an interview, said that he favoured compulsory military training, arguing that even two or three Dreadnoughts would prove insufficient to protect the vast territory of Australia. The Labour party's next work would be freeing the land for the people. New South Wales' one need was population. This would not be securable until the Government had regained control of the resources.
