GERMAN WAR TAX
IN TIME OF PEACE. PROTESTS BT THE PRESS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 8. 50 a.m.) BERLIN, March 7. The "Daily News'" Berlin correspondent says that nearly the whole of the Liberal Press of Germany is protesting against the exaggerated military demands, and especially against the war tax in peace time. H is expected that the tax will he distributed over a long period. The chief Bavarian Catholic organ fiercely assails the increase.
