TURAKINA FIRE.
DAMAGE IK ENGINE-ROOM. SYDNEY, March 7. The underwriters have received a cablegram from Rio de Janeiro stating that the fire on the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina has been extinguished by the flooding of No. 3 hold. The damage to the engine-room is believed to be extensive.
