WEST END CLUB* "PRESIDENT'S DAY" AND TRIALS. To-morrow afternoon. "President's Day" at the West End Club, the members will be "At home," and extend a cordial Invitation to all supporters and friends to be present: A set of trial fours will be rowed off for trophies generously donated by Mr -John Clark (president) and Mrs Clark, and, as crews have had little time to prepare, some really good racing should be witnessed. A string baud has been engaged to enliven the proceedings, and that ever acceptable item, afternoon tea, will be served under the leadership of Mrs Fairs. Given good w.eather, there is every reason to believe that a pleasant afternoon will eventuate for all concerned. Following are the crews to compete:-— First Heat—S. Cole, W. Jerrom. A. Kelly, and K. Couley, and Golder; A- G. Blakey, J. Glnsson, A. Cox, nnd A. Lye. Third Heat.—L. G. Ross, A. Hunter, E. Aickln, and N. Nicholson: W. Mnssev, AY. Wright, R. Gleson, nnd H. Payne; V. H. Piper. W. O.
