PEABS. HOW ANTINEUBASTHrN REMEDIES NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. It is, in the first place, essentially a food— not a drug stimulant. It is a food that feeds the whole of the nervous system with those elements, the lack of which in the structural tissues constitutes the neurasthenic condition. It is so easily assimilated that In one hour It is fully absorbed, thus creating quickly a renewed mental and physical vigour. This Is not mere stimulation, hot is really the sensation produced by the actual assimilation and storage of those refined elements necessary to nerve comfort and vigour. This is not—as In the case of tonics and stimulants—a nerve transient whipping up, but an actual addition to the nerve structure and nerve strength of th» Individual. IN ONE HOTJB. When we announced our intention ot opening a Warehouse in Elliott Street (just at the. ouc-k ot strand Arcade), many vi our irieuds told us it was a big mistake. They told v*, first of all, that our Store was in the wrong position for selling our manufactures direct to ihe public, that Kiliott Street was primarily a centre tor warehouses that supplied clothing, etc., to "the trade" only, that the great public could never be induced to step luuyds train Queen Street and buy suite iv Elliott Street, be the quality ever so high, and even though they could get the goods at Wholesale Price. They said, further, that even assuming men could be persuaded to go to such a public warehouse at aU, they would never dream of buying Clothing that was Ready for Service. They reminded us that so much prejudice existed against "ready-to-wear" Clothing (with the possible exception of neglige garments, such as Rainproof Coats, Tweed Overcoats, Riding Breeches, and a few other things) that it would take years to educate a conservative public into buying their Clothing at WHOLESALE PRICE by going direct to the Wholesale Manufacturers. We found fellow-mannfactarers equally sceptical of our ability to supply suits so high-grade in quality, so perfect in fit, so stylish in cut, and in so many different sizes (40 in all), that we could displace to any considerable extent the old-fashioned way of going to a tailor and giving anywhere from four to six guineas for a firstclass suit, and,' above all, to sell direct to the public at wholesale price—it had never been done before in Auckland, and that seemed sufficient reason for supposing it could not be done. But we had confidence in ourselves and faith in the common sense of the public, and knew that once the idea WAS started and had thoroughly taken root, the high quality and low price of our goods would ensure such continued support of an appreciative public that our ultimate success would be certain. It is literal truth that prior to our opeuing it was not-possible to buy gentlemen's finely-tailored Garments Ready for Service. We have created a new industry, or, it might be more correct to say we have recreated an old one. Manufacturers tell us .that our influence upon the entire trade Is enormous. The demand for better made and higher grade goods has never been so persistent as since we demonstrated so clearly the public demand for really wellmade, beautifully fitting garments. Oar progress in this special line of human service has been one of unbroken snccess from the first day of onr opening. IN EIGHTEEN MONTHS WE HAVE BUILT UP BY MUCH THE LARGEST BUSINESS IN AUCKLAND IN GENTLEMEN'S FINELY TAILORED, READY FOR SERVICE CLOTHING EXCLUSIVELY — eloquent testimony to the merit of onr merchandise and of onr system of doing business direct to the public at Wholesale Price. There will be many readers of this article who even now will donbt onr ability to fit THEM satisfactorily from onr stocks. Let us explain again what onr system Is. We have in stock, made from the finest materials, cut and made with the utmost skill, suits which are a credit to the maker. These are made in such a diversity of slaes and of fittings that we can fit practically everybody accurately and at once. This dispenses cntk-ely with the troublesome fitting and measuring and possible disappointment associated with the Make-to-Measure Tailor. It saves tlinv. annoyance, and money. It has the Inestimable advantage of allowing the customer co see exactly how nnv style or pattern may suit him before deciding to purchase. We make no claims we cannot prove— we sell no clothing that Is not first of all satisfactory to us. Merely effecting a sale, unless the garment sold 1b in every way "right" does not concern us. but we are immensely concerned in securing your goodwill. We will gladly show yon the resources of our store if yon nrorlfle the opportunity. There is never rim sliirnr«»>t obligation to purchase. Onr motto is: "To Make Sales Is Not Enough, YOU Mnst Make Friends." CROWN CLOTHING MANUFACTURING CO. (N.Z.)., LTD. Elliott Street (back of Strand Arcade), I Auckland. ____________TTf____^f?
