' A UNANIMOUS VOTE. (Received 2.50 p.m.) CAPETOWN. March 6. In the South African Union Ho.use of Assembly to-day, Major Silburn withdrew his motion 'calling upon the Government to submit proposals for an annual contribution to the British Navy, commensurate with the Union's importance. Mr Bo'tha's amendment, "That the House recognises the importance of a full consideration of the question of naval defence, and requests the Government to consult the Motherland on the subject," was then carried without division.
