PUNCHBOWL TRAGEDY.
SYDNEY, this day
In connection with the death of the girl Porter, aged 14 years, whoso body was found near Mount Punchbowl Railway Station, with the head battered in and other terrible injuries, it is stated that an inmate who escaped from the asylum was seen in the vicinity recently. Residents are afraid to allow their children to go through the bush fo the school. The police and black trackers are searching.
