ST. PETERSBURG, March 6. The tercentenary of the RomanclT line ascending the throne of Russia was jelebrated by special services in the churches to-day, the Czar's manifesto, recalling Russia's progress) in civilisation, industry and art, being read. The Czarewitch attended the service at Kazan Cathedral, being carried into the building by his Cossack guard. It was noticed that he sat or stood during the service, but did not kneel. Immense enthusiasm prevailed, and enormous crowds participated in the festivities.
