The Union Company received a cablegram from its,. London office this afternoon, advising that the steamer Ni«£ara (the company's new 13.000 tons liner) ran her trial trip yesterday at Glasgow. The results were very satisfactory. With 5,300 tons dead weight on board' she averaged close on 18 knots, while her progresr slve trials indicated that the contract r& quirements were considerably exceeded. OVERSEA SHIPPING.
