The rates on Cunard liners, which boast an instalment, for the transmission of messages by wireless telegraphy, is really not excessive .The minimum charge for the messages transmitted to the shore is 6/6, and the rate 6d a word. The rate is the same whether it is possible to establish communication direct with a shore station, or whether the course is through some passing steamer rriroilarly equipped.
