The City Fire Brigade turned out at 3.45 yesterday upon receipt of an alarm from the box at the corner of Wellesley and Hobson streets, but the outbreak was nothing more than a rubbish fire in a bouse tenanted by a Mrs Ryan.- They were also alarmed at 10.30 this morning, the roof of an old wooden cottage near tbe Swan Hotel, Parnell, having been ignited by sparks from a railway engine.
