THE TARAWERA.
The s.s. Tarawera arrived from the South at 1.30 p.m. to-day, berthing ac Quay street Jetty No. 2. The purser (Mr P. Caflin) reports that the steamer 'eft Dune'din on the 28th ult., called at the usual ports, left Gisborne at 1 p.m. yesterday, and arrived as above. Experienced fresli S.W. to S.K. winds with heavy swell to arrival at Napier, thence moderate weather to Gisborne,where heavy southerly weather was met /with. Fine weather prevailed after leaving Gisborno to arrival. Tho Taruwcra ssails for the South again on Saturday.
