Tuesday. Mi .a and Miss Blyth left- to-day for Rotorua to see the sights before returning to Suva, Fiji.
A social will be given by the ladies of Te Aroha on Thursday in- the Public Hall, when the Senior Football Club will be presented with a handsome banner. The ladles will provide refreshments A new shop in being erected in Whitaker street for Mr JiVsmuss, next Mr Johnson's boardinghousei
A telegram has been received here stating that Trooper J. Strange, who has been-invalided home from South Africa will arrive .by the Karamea. A fitting reception will be accorded him on arrival This afternoon a wedding took place between Miss Rachael Louisa Evans and MrG, H. Forest. The Rev. E. J. McFarkind performed the ceremony. This is the coldest morning experienced this winter so far, six ciegrees of frost was registered in the observatory
