On Saturday afternoon a rifle competition was fired, on the Mount Eden Rifle Range by the members of the Ponsonby Naval Artillery Volunteer Corps for a medal presented by Honorary Lieutenant Dacre. Petty Officer Morgan headed the list with the fine score of S9 out of a possible 100 points, Gunner C. A. "Willis coming next with 87 points. The ranges were 200 yards and 500 yards, ten shots at each range. Just opened a remarkably fine shipment of Irish linen goods at Smith and Caughey's. Serviettes, damasks, table covers and fancy napery, direct from the Belfast mills. —Advt. ,
