Opposition Cab drivers. —Wm. Winser was charged with having on the sth May received the sum of 5s from H. Hood, on terms requiring him to pay the same to Kobert Henry Keenan, and having fraudulently omitted to pay over parb tr.ereof, i, c. 2a.—Mr Brasaey appeared for informant, and Mr Napier for accused. —The evidence Bhowed that accused was formerly in Keonan's employ as a cab-driver, bufe had lattorly been on his own account. The 58 referred to was received as a fare from H. Hood, but only 3s of the money were paid over to Keenan.—The defence was to the effecb that Is of the money wae spent by accused for wharfage, and la for his breakfast. —The Bench held that there was evidence to show thab accused did pay la for tolls and Is for his breakfast, though withoub authority, but, as the matter waß bo trivial, they dismissed the case. By-laws.—James O'Connor was charged with having on the 7th May allowed the contents of a privy in Seven-Btreeb to be offensive. —Mr Geo. Goldie appeared for bho prosecution.—After some evidence waa given for both sides, the Bench dismissed the case.

Dog Registration.—For breaches of the Dog Registration Act, William Powley, Marion Golding, and Catherine Cuthbertson were fined 5«, Is and 10a with 7s costs respectively.—Mr Geo. Goldie appeared in support of the informations.
