Tho annual mooting of tho shareholders in the Auckland Agricultural and Morcantilo Company was held on 31st March, Mr O. W, Owon, Chairman of Directors presiding. Tho annual report was read stating that tho rosults of tho past year's business had not beon quito satisfactory, owing to the abnormal ntato of trade in in tho province during that period. The directors regret that they cannot recommend a dividond to bo paid. But as trade is assuming a more healthy tone, they look forward to tho futuro year's transactions nnd feol assured they will be able to meet the shareholders with a substantial profit to compensate for tho past year. The balauce-ahcot was also submitted as follows:—Liabilities : To capital, £100,000, loss uncalled £70,2282s Cd—£23,771 17sfid; niortgagos, £4,950; bills payable, £17,921 4s Sd; other liabilities (open), £17,149 13s sd; profit and loss, £480 8s sd. Total, £03,379 4s. Assots: By stock on hand, £19,978 12s lid; properties (shipping), £22,G74 KSs Sd ; bills receivable, £2,(i91 4s Sd ; book dobts, £17,937 lfls Sd ; cash on hand, £98 12* Id.
