DEPARTURES.
Alice Cameron, barque, 347 tons, P. Carter, for Sydney.
The Huntress, Mariner, and Watcrlily from the Thames, arrived at Russell on the 20th instant.
The whaling ship Hunter has arrived at Russell with 2,300 barrels oil.
The s.s. Go-Ahead left Russell for the Manukau on the 17th instant, with 90 tons coal.
The Mai-y Thompson, Captain Brown, left Russell for the Thames on the 19th, with 86 tons coal.
H.M. s.s. Clio, Commodore Stirling, made her appearance in these waters yesterday for the first time, and will, in all probability, remain till the end of next month. The Clio left Sydney on the Ist instant, and on the 4th was off Lord Howe's Island, but the weather being very unsettled, was unable to land. On the 10th instant arrived off Norfolk Island, and on the following day sent boats ashore, most of the officers landing. The Clio left the island on the 12th, and experienced fine weather to the land, making Cape Brett on Sunday last. Since then she has been on the coast, with light head winds. Got up steam yesterday, and arrived in harbour at 3 p.m. The officers on board the Clio are the same as those published by us on her arrival from England at Wellington.
The s.s. Storm Bird took her departure from the Mnnuknu yesterday, for Taranaki and Southern ports. Passengers—Mrs. Johnston and two children, Mrs. Kirkmand Messrs. Banbury, Cobnrn, Williams, Finley.
