BOATING CLUB THEATRICALS.
To-morrow evening at the Irince of Wales Theatre, a dramatic entertainment will bo given by the members of the Boating < lub, a d for llie benefit of its funds. This muscular society has l>pen making strenuous efforts to make itself an instilution worthy of such v noble harbour ; and ib must bo owned that its efforts have been attended, by great success.' The sheds in Official Bay are now prepared for the reception of the boats of the Club; and the flotilla is to remove thither this evening. There are necessarily various items of outfit requiring expenditure ; and it is to be hoped that the benefit to-morrow night, will place the club in funds. Judging from tiie names of the amateurs in the programme, we anticipate that the play and farce will be really cleverly performed. And from the position and well known names of these gentlemen we shall be surprised if we do not find a great muster on the occasion to see them sporting the buskin. We sincerely wish success to the benefit; and hope that our citizens will show a warm desire to foster this.species of "local industry" on the part of those who in office and counting house pant for the invigorating breezes of our noble Waitcmata.
