THE GUN OF THE FUTURE.
The 35-ton gun in course of manufacture at Woolwich, says the Globe, is now nearly finished. I. is being made entirely on. the Frazer principle, and will be a muzzle-loader. It is built up of five concentric rings, which are made as strong as it is possible to make them. Thecaibre of the bore will be 11$ inches, and the length of tlu gun. 16 feet. The weight of the projectile will be 7001b., and the powder charge will be 1201b.
