TARANAKI.
October 14. —The natives are quiet, and everything is going on satisfactorily.—Another meeting will, it is said, be held at Pariaka some time in March next, which is a long time to look forward to, and means probably peace and quietness, and another big feast when March comes.—The Provincial Council of Taranaki met on Tuesday, when notice of a motion of want of confidence in the Provincial Secretary was tabled.
