Messrs. C. Arthur and Son held a sale of brushware, chairs, &c, at their mart., to-day. There was a very good attendance. Some of the articles fetched more than ordinary prices. The following is a list of the prices obtained :—Brushware, sound spokes, 2ls ; water, 21s ; double bannister, 22s ; single bannister, 12s to 20s ; white scrubbers, 5s to 10s 6cl ; grey ditto, 16s ; s!oves, 12s 9<l ; bns3 brooms, 15s to 17s ; boat scrubbers, 10s ; blacking, 2s lOd ; damaged (whitewashed), 18s to 2?s; mops, 13s ; ba?s brooms, 17a ; deck scrubbers, 18s ; hair brushes, 163 to 24s Gel; chairs (damaged), 31s to 55s per dozen. Mr. B. Tonks held a sale, to-day, of teas, on account of whom it may concern. Eaisow Congou, ' Leandcr,' fetched, duty paid, Isßd ; caddies, ditto ditto, Is lOd.
