WHOSE 10 BLAME ? To the Editor of the Evening Stah.
Sib, —As a stranger naturally desirous of viewing your public buildings, I hive of ourse, seen your P-.st Office, but have b»en not n littie surprised to fiid that the head of Hit M-ijesty the Queen (supporting one side lof the centre arch) has been injured by some Gut.li or anoth r, and that the authoriiies and peoplfl of Auckland hare evidently allowed it to remain for some time in its present disgraceful state. Let anyone look tit it as he passes up the street, and he will see a repre sentation of Royalty suggestive only of ridicule and contempt; this surely ought not to be aUowtd to reaiftiu.—l »m, ko.,
