TVTOTICE is hereby given that the AREA jS for the REMOVAL of SHOP-SWEEP-INGS, &c, xinder the present contract, has been INCREASED. Until further notice, the Dust Carts, with a bell attached, will proceed at the hour of 8 o'clock a.m., on TUESDAY and FRIDAY in each week, for the purpose aforesaid, through the following streets :— Queen-street, West Queen-street, Wakefieldstreet, Princes-street, Shortland-street, Chan-cery-street, High-street, Vulcan Lane, Wynd-ham-street, Victoria-street, Elliott-street, Wellesley-street, Cook-street to Hobson-street, Hobson-street, Chapel-street, Durham-atreet and Mills Lane, Upper Queen-street up to the embankment, Albert-street; Moore-street. NOTTCE is hereby given that the Commissioners, under the City Board Act, 1863, the City Board Act, 1863, Amendment Act, and the City Board Act Amendment Act, 1865, intend upon MONDAST, the 15th day of August, 1870, to MAKE a GENERAL RATE of EIGHTPENCE per pound, and alto a Sewerage Rate of One Penny per pound, on the ratable value of property assessable under the said Acts and Amendment Acts, from the period from the Ist June, 1870, to 30th November, 1870, and that a statement of the proposed Rate is deposited in the office of the Collector of Kates, Canada Buildings, Queen-street, for inspection by the Ratepayers, of all which notice is hereby given in terms of the said Acts and Amendment Acts.
