ARRIVAL OF THE SAMSON.
The p.s. Samson left the Bay of Islands at 5 p.m. on Thursday, and arrived in harbor at 1 p.m. to-day. She experienced strong head ■winds to Wangarei, and from thence inode--5 ate weather. jgThe whaling barque Sea Ranger, Captain Dalton, has arrived at the Bay, from New Bedford. The Samson brings the following passengers : —Captain and Mrs. Norton, Mr. Stevensonj Captain Wright, Captain Worth, Mr. Barstow, Rev. Dr. and the Misses Purchas.
