KNIGHT, NEXT DOOR DUKE EDINBURGH THEATRE. [Advertisement.] T)ERSEVERANCE IS THE SOUL OF X SUCCESS. To the Editob." Deae Sic, —I am really in earnest about this Ragged School affair; and, upon enquiry, I learn that the school, bearing this name, is ashamed of it, the house in which it is hold unsuitable, and altogether too small to receive the expected ingathering of poor children ; the writer is, therefore, on the look-out for a place more adapted. One of the unoccupied houses in the Barrack Square would be desirable if leave could be obtained from Government. In the meantime I intend (D.V.) to assemble as many as I can in my own house at Newton ; in the morning at nine, afternoon at three, when the children may see some of the prizes, between ten and twelve, consisting of carpenters' tools and gardners' implements, books, furniture, chinaware, clothing, and ornaments. Not less than ten prizes, some of which have to be made up from the log at the Mill, or wrought from bright gold lying yet in the hill. With each prize one golden image, value 205., will be given. The images may be seen at Mr. Major's, Wellesley-street. I should be glad to enlist some of our fellowworkers who are willing to engage in this labour. JOHN ROSKELL. Newton, May 3rd, 1870. TO-MORROW.
