GREYMOUTH, April 2. Mr. Franklin, M.P.C., met his constituents at Napoleon Hill, on Wednesday. The meeting was the largest ever held in the district,, Mr. Franklyn said that as the Superinten-; dent had commenced pubhc works up the Greyi and appointed Mr. Kynnersley a member ofl his Executive, his Honor had a right, and deserved to be supported in Council by Grey| members. Mr. Simpson, district surveyor, has re turned from Martin's Bay. He reports that the Holleyford Valley Is auriferous, and aIW the discovery of a seam of coal equal to that at the Grey.
