AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
THIS DAY
A meeting- of the members of the Auckland Presbytery was held this morning at St. Andrew's Church. Present: CChe Revs. J. MacNicol (Moderator), D. Bruce (Clerk), J. Macky, T. Nome, B. McKenney, and A. Seuter; Elders —Mr. Thompson, and Mr. Win. Hay (of Papakura). The proceedings commenced with the usual devotional exercises. With reference to the intended departure of the Key. Mr. Bruce for England, the brethren expresses their regret at the eircu*nstances depriving them for a time of the counsel and aid of the reverend gentleman, and their sincere sympathy Avith him, and trusting tli tt he wouklreturn to this country thoroughly restored to health. ThoJJev. gentleman returned thanks and resigned his appointment of clerk, to which Mr. Seuter was elected. A report was read by Mr. Nome relative to the state of the various schools connectad with the Presbyterian Church. Some other business was transacted, after which the Presbytery adjourned.
