Indian Famine Relief Fund Committee authorised the Mayor to forward £200 to Madras as a first instalment. Kumara, October 11. Evidence of police in murder case still being taken. Statements made to them by prisoner are considered, to be suspicious looking. Evidence for the Crown expected to be completed to-day. Defence taken on Friday.
