OUR STREETS.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE AKAROA MAIT . Sir,—-Last night I had occasion to go from Joliie-street, down Church-street, to the Beach Road. On stepping from, the footpath to cross Aubrey-street, I found myself over my boots in watery slush, cansed, as it seems to me, by the drainage from some of the properties being allowed to run into the street. Did the Borough Council intend these mud sloughs to be formed at street corners. — Yours, &c., A LADY PEDESTRIAN.
