TAKE NOTICE that the Collector will be in attendance at the Road Board Office every Wednesday and Saturday in each week up to the 13th inst, to receive unpaid rates. AKAROA LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH. is hereby given, that in JLN terms of sec. 20 of the Public Health Act, 1876, the Governor in Council having declared the following DISEASES INFECTIOUS within the meaning of the said Act, viz.:— Cholera Small-pox Scarlatina A Diptheria Enteric or Typhoid Fever Typhus Fever, and Measles It is further required by the said Act, clause 28, that when a householder knows that a person within the house occupied by him, is taken sick of any of the above diseases, he shall immediately give notice thereof to the Local Board. If he refuses or neglects to give such notice, he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding ten pounds. It shall be the duty of the medical practitioner in attendance in such case to state to the householder as early as possible the infectious nature of such disease. All objections thereto must be left on or before the 15th February, addressed to the Assessment Court; and also a copy at the office, Kaituna, not less than seven days before next sitting of the said Court.
