CHILDREN'S CONCERT
Tlie entertainment held in St. Stephen's Sunday Schoolroom last evening, in aid of the Prize Fund, was a distinct success. The first half of the programme was taken up with the cantata., "A Midsummer Day," in which 3t5 children, ably trained by Mrs H. N. Wright, and representing the Goddess of Night, flowers, fairies, and frogs, participated. The choruses were well rendered, and the dances \veve performed under bright- electric light, with pleasing effect. The second part was taken up with choruses by the male choir, recitations by little .Miss Patter and Mr A. Todd, songs by Mr Bull and Miss Wl Shurrock, violin solo by Mi" Lubbe, and items by the children. The accompaniments were ably played by Mks L. Leach (piano),' and Miss E. Ciaridge (violin). The stage was beautifully decorated'for the occasion. As a large, number of ticketholders were unable to gain admission, it lias been decided, to repeat the entertainment to?night.
