HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEMES.
WELLINGTON, March 3. The Minister of Public Works will leave Wellington in a few days to inspect the site of the proposed Arapuni hydro-electric scheme in the Waikato. He will be accompanied by Mr Parry, chief electrical engineer, with whom he is going thoroughly into all New Zealand hydro-electric proposals prior to Mr Parry's departure for England. Sir .William .Eraser also intends to visit the Waihi Goldmiuing Company's Horohoro electrical station while in the Waikato. Mr Parry has completed a further detailed report on South Island: schemes, and will similarly deal with the North Island.
