The death is announced of the Very. Rev. Henry Charles Beeching, who.had b«M»n Dean of Norwich since 1911. Ho was born in 1869.
A cable message from London states that Sir Thomas Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, underwent an operation. He is progressing satisfactorily.
A London cablegram received to-day announced the death of Lady Ritchie., eldest daughter of the late W. M. Thackeray, the famous novelist. She was herself a talented authoress.
