GIFT TO THE WAR FUNDS.
WELLINGTON, January 5. The authorities of the Bank of New Zealand have indicated to the Minister in chacrgo of the-War Funds Act, the Hon. G. W. Russell, that; they propose to pay the £10,000 which . the bank had agreed to give for patriotic purposes into the account controlled by the National War Funds Council.
