Mr W. ■ Webster, (Postmaster-Gene-xal) states that the Postal: Department Ibas been forced to discard horses for .motors for mail services, in order to (maintain efficiency. The increase in •the cost is 300 per cent., biit he suggests that'the Government might overcome the r increased expenditure by Establishing its own motor services, carrying mails and passengers. . '
