MR HENRY SULLEY' S LECTURES.

• Mr Henry Sulley, architect, of Nottingham, England, gave his third free public lecture at the Museum Hall last evening, Mr A. Taylor presiding. Mr Sulley subject was: — ''The World Approaching a Great Crisis. — Israel's' relation to it. — A new universal government foretold. — The queen city of the world to be nine miles square. — A temple of worship and feasting to be one mile square, or four miles round." The lecturer , in his opening, remarks, dealt with ■ the progress of the warlike spirit among the nations of the earth;* and said that even we ourselves in the antipodes had caught the fever and were arming our school boys. This great war, which would be universal, was certainly coming, and was foretold by the prophets in the scriptures of truth. The Jews were now being nationalised in their own land, Palestine, and this being so, it ought to be watched by all students of scripture being spoken of by all the prophets taking place in the latter days. The popular idea of Christiandom of the world being destroyed, was refuted by Mr-Scullcy, who cited several textß in support of his assertion, including— "One generation coraeth, another passeth away, but the earth abideth for ever. (Ecclesiastes i., 4." There would, he said, be a city of Jerusalem, to be rebuilt in the old sites of the now trodden down 'Jerusalem. Then there would be one King, one religion, and the people would have nothing to fight for. The Temple of Worship, four miles round, containing 1776 rooms, with an average space of 85ft x 50ft in the outer court alone, so as to contain provision for all nations of the earth to visit Jerusalem once a year, and keep the feast of Tabernacles. As many as 375,000 could take refreshments at one time. No doubt the "immortality of the soul" has' blinded the eyes of Christiandom, or else why should the scriptures refer to the" resurrection of the dead? Mr Sulley quoted extensively from Ezelriel's prophecy. He illustrated his subject by some very large diagrams, bearing on the issues involved, which helped to a clearer understanding of the deep matters spoken of. ' This evening Mr Sulley will lecture on the subject: "Jerusalem and her future temple, to hold a million worshippers. — Sacrifice and offerings. — Thrones of Judgment. — The law of the house. A powerful government. — Divine ordinances. — Sin' washed away. — The Prince of the Age to come." No charge will bo made for admission, neither will there be any collection, and any one desiring literature may have some free of cost at the close of the meeting, on application.
