A very quiet wedding, writes our Carterton contemporary, was celebrated, yesterday morDiug, at. St. Mark's Church, Cartertou, when Miss Kate E. Rathbone (second daughter of Mrs Booth, Carringtou House), was married to Mr Alex. Baillie, of Palmerstou North. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr W. Howard Booth, wore a cream coat aud skirt, and heliotrope hat. Miss Effie Booth wore a very pretty cream net dress trimmed with insertion and pale blue ribbon, silver straw hat trimmed with pate blue; Miss Branu, white dress trimmed with embroidery, cream hat with greeu quill; Mrs Wickham, Waitara (sister of the bride) wore black and white dress, white hat with black aud white marguerites; Mrs Rathbone. sage green striped Empire dress with guipure trimmings, green hat; Mrs W. Howard Booth, cream embroidered net over silk, hat with blue baud and bunches of cherries; Mrs W. Heury Booth, white dress, black hat with plumes; Miss K. Booth, white dress, cinnamon hat with roses; Miss G. Booth, white dress, wedgwood blue hat with wreath ; Miss Littlejohn (Welliugtou), black dress, white hat with trfmmiugs; Miss Cberretfc (Wanganui), mole-coloured Empire dress with guipure trimming, brown hat with forget-me-nots; Miss B. Young, cream dress, brown hat with roses; Miss MacGouu, white dress, heliotrope hat. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Young, the Wedding' March being played by Miss Mona Mooro.
