For £2 placed in a match-box on the top of the pole. One quarter of an hour allowed for each trial, and the pole to be re-greased for each attempt. Entrance 2s 6d: 2nd.— FOOT HURDLE RACE. Handicap. First heat. £5 for the winner, and £1 for the second man. About 250 yards. Entrance 6s. 3ed.— SACK RACE. For £2. Heats. About 100 yards. Entrance, 2s 6d. 4th.— TILTING- AT THE RING-, On Horseback. £.5 for the winner, and £1 for the second. Each horseman to have eleven rounds on the first day and ten on i the second. Entrance, ss. j Sth.— WRESTLING. Cornish and Devonshire style. £8 for the best man, and £2 tor the next. The final pairs to wrestle off for the prizes on the second day. Entrance, ss. 6tu.— PICK-A-BACK TILTING-. For £2. The wielder of the lance, and th a man that carries him pick-a-back, to pay the entry between them, and the winners to share the prize. Entrance, 2s 6d. 7th.— BELL IN THE CIRCLE. For £1. 'Ihe competitors to be blindfolded, and the first who fairly catches the boy with the bell io win. Entrance Is. Bth.— COMIC COCKING MATCH. For £2. (First time in New Zealand.) Entrance. 2s 6d. 9th.— CATCHING A PIG, ! With greasy tail. Only enterers allowed to interfere with the porker. Entrance, 2s 6d. Second Day, To commence at 12 noon.
