■ • [Pee Press Association.! DUNEDINj Sbpt. 19. ~ In the Supreme Court the City Corporation sued the Town Clerk of Roßlyn for £80, two years auctioneer's fees paid by E. Bowler. The case had been before the Magistrate's. Court for one license fee, and an appeal had been made to tho Supreme Court, when it -was dismissed, the Judge deciding that it was a question ofiacb, and ihe "could not : disturb the Magistrate's decision. Mr Bowler- is' : in the enrploy;; of Messwi j Wright, Stephensoh P and jCo.faX auctioneer. To-day Mr Justice Williams' deoided that, looking at all the circum* stances, he had come to the conclusion that Bowler's business domicile -was at Wright, Stephenson and Cob headquarters, notwithstanding; ftbat he was. connected with business in different) parts of the country. The fees ought to have- been paid to the City-Corporation, and the party who 1 had 'received them; the Roalyn Borough Council^' was 'liable to, make them good.
