Quite a fuss here at present among the litt c dears. Plain and fancy dres3 ball coming off shortly, don'toherknow. ' What shall I wear ?' 'Do you think that character would suit me ?' and so on. Quite amusing. Well, I hope they will all enjoy themselves. It is what they have been praying for for a long time . where they could show their neat little ankles without their modesty being questioned.... Poor Jim has been looking very forlorn this last eight weeks, but Bose is back from the country, and I am glad to say he is improving daily.. Absence has not made the heart grow cold. Wish you luck, old man.. ..Arthur has been dancing attendance on Mrs — a lot lately.. Be careful, my boy ; I know you mean no harm, but you will ba making A. jealous ...Onslow, Jack and Jim wont out the other evening to test X.'s 4X. Some remarks which the two latter passed happened totouch Onslow in a soft place, whereupon he lost his temper, got wild, and, it is rumoured, if it hadn't been for theirpositions, he woud have skivered the two of them.. ..Agnes and Lily look very nice, but very lonely, when taking their walks ow Sunday afternoons. What are you young fellows thinking about? Would that I were young again.... Jim seems to bd making good headway with Norah of late.
