They racehorses Kiora and Cheaney were also shipped at Melbourne. She had over 2000 bales of wool on board. The New Zealand Insurance Company have a ri*k of £1870. and the South British £7500, on the Thermopylae. Melbourne. September 13. The Thermopylae was commanded by Captain Phillip*. When she left Melbourne she had 55 passengers on boaid, including 26 steerage. Received September 14th, 12.20 a.m. London, September 13. The Thermopylae has broken m halves. It is feared that the racehorses will not be aaved.
