AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS United Press Association. — By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. BRISBANE, August 24. For the tennis championship of Australasia Rico beat Parker, 6—3,6 — 3, 6—4,6 — 4, 6—4. In the doubles championship Parker and Gregg beat Rice and Wright, 6—2,6 — 2, 3—6, 6—3, 6—2. In, the ladies' singles championship of Queensland Miss Dayton (Sydney) beat Miss Want (Queensland), the holder of the title, 6—l, 6—l. (The last Australasian championship meeting was held at XJhristchurch last Christmas. The Australasion singles championship was won by A. F. Wilding (N.Z.) and the doubles by Wilding and R. Heath (Victoria). H. Rice, the new champion, was Metropolitan champion of Sydney for some time, but •last yoar H. A. Parker (ex-champion of N.Z.) won the honqur from him.)
