MRS. RIBET.
(From "The Colonist," July 2G.) Tho late Mrs Ribet, whose death was reported from Greymouth recently (writes our Wai-iti correspondent) was the second daughter of the late Mr Joseph Hoult, of Wai-iti, and sister of Mr Edward Hoult. The deceased, who came out with her parents in the ship Prince, of Wales: in. 1842. was 72 years of age, the immediate cause of death being pleurisy Ihe late Mrs Ribet with .her husband wore among the pioneers of the Buller V nlltv. having settled ou tho property now owned by Mr Alex. Thompson, o! Fern Flat, where some hard nnd stirring times wore . passed through. Among the misfortunes that have befallen the family Was the loss of tlm".> out of four daughters. Their names were- Mrs O'Laughlin, Mrs Fagiu, and Mrs Alf. Smith, the last named having been drowned at the Inangahiia junction not many years ago. lho surviving daughter is Mrs Mathers, of Recfton. '
