MINERALS IN TASMANIA.
HOBART, May 27. The exploring party which visited the limestone caves at Ida Bay report the existence of a cliff, a hundred feet high, composed of beautiful, black and dove colored marble. Exciting reports are arriving from the North-west silver fields. Residents of Emu Bay are giving £78 each for shares in the Prospecting Company at North Valley, where lumps of silver, oie weighing 3cwt each have been found.
