KILLED IN ACTION. PRIVATE L. F. LEDSHAM. Cable news of Ihe death in action of Private Leicester F. Ledsham, on August 5, was received in Christchurch recently. Deceased, who was only 21 years of age at the time of his death, was a native of New Zealand, being the eldest son of Mr P. Ledsham, Formerly of Christchurch, and Morven, South Canterbury. He
finished his education at the Waitaki Boys' High School. Six years ago he left New Zealand with his parents to take up land in West Australia, and was farming with his father prior to enlisting in the Australian forces last year. He was the grandson of Mr arid Mrs R. Forbes, of Christchurch.
