Warkworth Town Board

The usual meeting of the Warkworth Town Board, was held in the Board's offices last Monday evening. Mr J. P. Smythetnau presided.

Damages Claim Settlement— The clerk reported that he had received a cheque for £1.50 from the U.S. Army in full settlement of the Board's claim for damage to the native bush on the Board's water catchment area.

Building Permit —Messrs Bookman &. How ell were granted a permit to erect an extensioh to a garage for Mr C. C. Gubb, subject to the building inspector's approval.

The clerk reported on the conference of Town Clerks at Wellington which be attended, and presented a lengthy report on the Municipal Conference which he also attended in company with the Board's chairman.

Accounts amounting to £1019/ 13/10 were passed for payment.
