KAIPARA FLATS

(Own Correspondent.)

The Anglican Church concert last Thursday was again a very eujpyable function, though the number attending was smaller than usual. Measles and wintry weather no doubt accounted for this. The programme, however, was an excellent one, thanks chiefly to the presence of Mr Stuart Harvey, the well-known IZB artist. His rendering of "The Floral Dance" was a gem. The other 'performers, however, were also good, viz., Mrs Rees, Miss Hill. Mr Alan Pow, Mr Alan Tyler-Davies and the children, Sheila Ellis, Fiona Thompson, Alison Stubbs, Eobin Scott and Valda Farrant. After the concert very enjoyable dancing was kept up till midr night. Mr and Mrs Blade, Mr Newhich, Mrs Soar, Mr Brott and Mi- Edge kindly provided the music.

About the computer-generated text

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a process for automatically extracting text from scanned pages. OCR enables searching of large quantities of full-text data, but it is not 100% accurate. The level of accuracy depends on the print quality of the original newspaper and its condition at the time of microfilming. Newspapers with poor quality paper, small print, mixed fonts, multiple column layouts or damaged pages may have poor OCR accuracy.

The page where this item appears has an estimated OCR accuracy of 97.55%.
