. — i*» ! In accordance with expectations A. F. Wilding was successful m annexing . the world's covered court championship at Stockholm, defeating. Germot, the French' player m the final, 5— 7, 6—3, ff-^2, 6— l. Apparently Germot' made a good fight m the first set, but from then to the finish Wilding seems to liave had things all his own way, scoring 18. games to 6 against him. Wilding is now m an unassailable position as world's champion m every class of tennis m which there is a world's championship— grass,., hand courts, and covered courts. It will probably be a long time before any other player will be successful m winning all three championships m one year. It will he Interesting to watch Brookes' Success when he visits England next year, for no doubt Wilding will be called upon to' defend his titles on more 1 , than one occasion. I
